These are some nameless folks who have heard about the project, asked to have their scars photographed, and never wanted to hear about it again.
This young man (above) was visiting a guy my friend's roommate was dating (from Poland?). He has a burn-mark on his arm and a scar across his face; I photographed him sitting on a plush armchair someone had left on the street. Summer 2008.
Vague memories of this one. A guy -- in a bar? -- somewhere in Sweden? I would have said it was the same man as above, but the T-shirt is black. 2008/2009.
This gentleman was one of my favourite customers at the small social-club/bar/café/gambling den I used to bartend. He would come in and tell me his troubles, drink beer and generally not be a boor -- until one day something happened and he stopped coming in. I never saw him after that and I don't have any recollection of what these scars were from. 2007.
